Anti-Discrimination Commission of the NT
An independent, impartial body that investigates and helps resolve complaints about discrimination and harassment. It also provides training and education about Anti-Discrimination and Diversity policies to businesses, government departments, schools and individuals.
Australian Association of the Deaf
The Australian Association of the Deaf (AAD) is the national peak body that represents, promotes and preserves the Australian Deaf community, its language and cultural heritage. It works towards a vision of a national Deaf community with equal rights and full access in Australian society.
Australian Clearinghouse on Education and Training (ADCET)
Provides up to date and comprehensive information about inclusive teaching, learning and assessment strategies, accommodations and support services for people with disabilities in post secondary education and training. Full access requires a subscription.
Australian Council of Social Services (ACOSS)
The national peak council of the community welfare sector in Australia — the principal voice of low income and disadvantaged people in social and economic policy matters.
Australian Council for Rehabilitation of Disabled (ACROD)
The National Industry Association for Disability Services. ACROD works to increase the capacity of its members to operate effectively and efficiently and to influence public policy so that it is responsive to the needs of people with disabilities.
Australian Disability Training Advisory Council
A standing committee of the Australian National Training Authority Board. It was established in October 2000 to oversee the implementation of ANTA's five year national strategy for increasing opportunities for people with a disability in VTE, Bridging Pathways (click here to download).
Australian Federation of Disability Organisations
The Federation has recently been established as the primary national voice to government that fully represents the interests of all people with disability across Australia.
